A Few of My Favourite Things: Vampy Lip Shades

Happy October Gals!

Fall is definitely at our doorsteps, which means it's time to winterize our lipstick collections and embrace the Fall makeup trends.

Fall lips are all about deep robust shades and by incorporating rich hues of berry, blackberry, red and burgundy is an easy way to take those lips from Summer  and into this season's Vampy Lip trend.

Here are a few of my favourite shades:

Chanel Rouge Coco "456 Erik": I am in love with Chanel lipsticks, there is just something so glamorous about owning a Chanel lippie.
This has a glossy formula that provides fab hydration. "Erik" is a deep blackberry shade with cool undertones and gives a slight shimmery finish when applied. The pigmentation is a little on the sheer side but very build-able, so a couple of layers are needed to achieve the full depth of the colour.

Where to buy: Gibbons Co (Bermuda) $33.00, Chanel.com $36.00

Prism Lipstick "Nae-Nette": "Nae-Nette" is definitely a sultry classic wine shade, that adds sophistication to any look. It has a gorgeous plum hue with reddish tones and provides an opaque coverage. This is a cream formula lippie that provides lasting hydration and has a sweet hint of vanilla. I think this lip shade is a great option for those gals who want to sport a variation of the vampy lip without it looking goth.

Where to buy: Chrysalis Cosmetics (Bermuda)$15.00

L'oreal Colour Riche "892 Raisin Rapture": This is such a beautiful formula that contains argan oil which really leaves the lips feeling moisturized. This shade is more of a burgundy plum and has a glossy finish. The pigmentation is quite sheer so layering is key if you want to achieve a rich finish with this lippie

Where to buy: Phoenix Stores (Bermuda) $10.25 Amazon.com $8.00

Thanks for reading Gals!

Are you a fan of vampy lips, if so what are your fav shades

  11. Hi dear Keisha, I love these kind of shades, but right now I have a skin tone with which prune, dark violet are terrible. Generally I use bright red and dark dusty rose.

    1. Isn't it gorgeous! I have been using the Black Opal liner in Plumberry, it compliments it really well. This shade is quite sheer and glossy so it is not as long lasting as some of the others. Thanks so for visiting!
