My After Bath Treats

Happy Sunday!

Treating my skin after an evening bath is something that I really look forward too. I enjoy indulging in rich creamy deliciously scented body products that keep my skin healthy and hydrated.

Indulging in after bath skin care

Today, I have rounded up a few of my old and new fav treats to share with you on this relaxing Sunday afternoon.

After Bath Treats

Indulging in after bath skin care

I begin my after bath indulgence with body lotion, this step helps to add the moisture back into my skin. Recently I have been alternating between the Body Shop’s Brazil Nut Body Butter and Dr. Organic's Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Skin Lotion.  Dr. Organic is new to my after bath routine, and I am really enjoying the creamy consistency and the light scent of coconut.

I’m no stranger to The Body Shop's Brazil Nut Body Butter. This particular  body butter has been a staple in my beauty arsenal for years as I adore the  nutty vanilla scent as well as its ability to moisturize effectively without leaving behind a greasy residue.
Both of these treats leave my skin feeling nourished and hydrated with a sweet scent that lingers on my skin.

Next it’s on to hands and feet. These days I am trying to make a conscious effort to spend more time taking care of my hands, feet and nails. My nails, both finger nails and toes nails are the most neglected areas on my body…I pay little to no attention to them.  So with this new effort in mind, I massage in a little of The Body Shop’s  Vitamin E  Hand & Nail Treatment to keep my nails, hands and feet in optimal condition. The formula is extremely moisturizing and really does an excellent job and keeping my hands and feet incredibly soft, while making my nails appear healthy and nourished.

Lastly, before tumbling into bed, I give my body an all over spritz of vanilla. I have always been  obsessed with the scent of vanilla, it’s my absolute fav scent and it pairs beautifully with both the coconut and Brazil nut fragrances. The Body Shop’s Vanilla Body Mist gives me that hit of vanilla that I crave. With it's light and sweet scent, it is the perfect end to my after bath routine.

  1. I enjoy treating my skin at night too, since my morning routine has to be really quick (10 minutes). Dr Organic products are amazing, I tried the rose scrub a few months ago and I loved it! I want to try more from this brand! :)

  13. I love body butters in the winter, and I like to switch to fresh lotions or oils in the summer. I also love a good body mist, but I always make sure I pick the ones that are alcohol-free!

  14. Dr. Organic's Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Skin Lotion sounds nice and so does the Body Shop Vanilla Mist. I don't really ever take baths but if I had a bigger tub I totally would. I need to invest in more luxurious lotions. All I really use is CVS or Vaseline Cocoa Butter.

  18. Moisturizing is key after getting out of a bath. Our routines are similar but I prefer oils instead of lotion. Surprisingly enough I have never tried a Body Shop product even though I hear they smell amazing.

I don't find them to particularly moisturizing, but the scents are so light and fresh which goes perfectly with my relaxing bath routine.
