How to Wear an Unconventional Lipstick Shade

Edgy lipstick shades have become extremely popular over the last year and a half. More of us are stepping outside of our normal "safe" lip shades and reaching for more daring shades of blue, green, grey, black and silver. 

Because these shades can be a little difficult to pull off, I am sharing a few of my tips on how you can successfully wear an unconventional lipstick shade.

Getting the most out of my makeup is essential and by making a product versatile is a fantastic way for me to get the most out of it. 

One of my favourite product's to transform is lipstick. Not only is it quick and easy, it is a great item to re-purpose if you happen to be on a "No Buy" because even though you may not have brought a new lipstick, it feels as though you are applying a brand new lippie each time that you apply it with a different finish.

I am a huge fan of red lip shades, not only are they always on trend, they are elegant, versatile and have the ability to glamorize your entire look. Red lip shades also give  a dramatic effect without actually having to wear a ton of makeup. 

For those reasons alone,  I feel that a red lip shade should be a key item in every gals holiday party makeup arsenal.

Fall lips are all about deep robust shades and by incorporating rich hues of berry, blackberry, red and burgundy is an easy way to take those lips from Summer  and into this season's Vampy Lip trend.
