A Few of My Favourite Things: Festive Red Lip Shades

Hello Gals!

I am a huge fan of red lip shades, not only are they always on trend, they are elegant, versatile and have the ability to glamorize your entire look. Red lip shades also give  a dramatic effect without actually having to wear a ton of makeup. 

For those reasons alone,  I feel that a red lip shade should be a key item in every gals holiday party makeup arsenal.
 

The stunning red lip shades that I am currently rotating this festive season are shades that are richly pigmented and instantly make me feel glamorous, elegant and totally chic every time I swipe them across my lips.

Prism Glossy Gloss "Seductress"

Let's start with "Seductress", my all time favourite red lip gloss shade...no surprise there lol. In all fairness, even though this is my own brand, the formula of this vanilla scented full coverage gloss is truly remarkable; it's moisturizing, creamy, super pigmented and has a gorgeous high shine finish. 
This vibrant shade is a striking deep blue toned red that adds richness and sophistication to my entire look, which makes it the perfect accompaniment to my LBD (little black dress)

Lime Crime "Retrofuturist"

For years Retrofuturist, has been a staple in my red lip collection. It is a wearable bold true red that is neither yellow nor blue in tone, which makes it flattering on all skin tones. 
The formula gives a gorgeous full opaque coverage and because a lip stain has been cleverly incorporated into the mix, wear time is increased. So this means that you can nibble and sip on champagne without the fear of your  lipstick migrating.

"On Fire Red" is the newest addition to my red lipstick collection this season.  The buttery formula is a dream as it contains honey nectar which makes my lips feel extremely comfortable and nourished. 
This beautiful red has a slight neon note which makes for a vibrant finish however, because it applies quite sheer, it can be worn casually in a more informal setting or it can be amped up by building up the layers to achieve deeper pigmentation suitable for any glam occasion.
