Lately double winged eyeliner seems to have become quite popular again. I absolutely adore the effect of a double wing as creates a dramatic twist on the classic winged eyeliner and in my opinion, it adds such an exotic flair to the eyes.
To some, the thought of creating a double wing can be a little intimidating so today I have put together a step by step pictorial guide to assist in achieving that perfect double winged eyeliner.
Steps:
- Step 1: After your eyeshadow has been applied, take a black or dark grey eyeshadow and with an angled brush, map out where you want your liner to go.
Starting at the lower lash line , extend a line outwards on a diagonal, extending just under the outer corner.
- Step 2: Now draw a line starting from the outer corner of the upper lash line and extend outwards on a diagonal to just past the crease.
- Step 3: Starting from tip of the upper line, create another line and drag it back onto the lid. You should have a shape that represents a triangle.
- Step 4:So now that you have completed the mapping out phase, use a liquid or gel eyeliner with a pointed eyeliner brush and trace over the top of where you mapped out with the shadow and fill in. Add a few layers of liquid liner to intensify the effect.

ReplyDeleteHi dear Keisha! I like this step by step tutorials =) Sometimes I like these graphical looks, but generally working with black is quite dangerous :P You've been super precise, I like the result, maybe I would have blended more the lower dark line. Have a serene evening dear =)
