Hiya Gals!
Today I have an indulgent sugar scrub recipe to share with you featuring the delicious scent of pumpkin spice and my most favourite scent, vanilla.
There is just something so deliciously comforting about the scent of pumpkin spice. Whether it be in the form of a candle, baked goods or body products, this fragrant fall spice is definitely one of my favourite scents this time of year.
You will need:
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup olive oil or coconut oil or sweet almond oil
- 2tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- Decorative container
Method:
In a large mixing bowl combine the brown sugar and olive oil and stir well. (If you have chosen to use coconut oil, you will need to melt it in the microwave first) Next, add in your pumpkin pie spice and vanilla and mix together. Transfer into a decorative glass jar or container.
Body scrubs make such a fab pamper gift
to yourself, and excellent gifts ideas for family and friends. For gift giving, pretty up your glass jar with ribbons and decorative labels.
Hot Tips:
- As homemade scrubs contain no preservatives, they will only last about 3 weeks in the fridge.
- Once your homemade scrub has been exposed to water, it becomes susceptible to bacteria growth, so only scoop out what you need into a separate container and leave the remainder in the fridge until the next time.
Thanks for sharing this DIY tips, xx
