Hello Gals!
Dabbling in DIY makeup/beauty products is definitely one of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday afternoon. The whole experience of creating, mixing and measuring is quite the thrill, a thrill that leaves me feeling a bit like a mad scientist.
My latest concoction is a tasty raspberry lip stain, that uses fresh raspberries.
My preference for making lip stains has always been to use fresh berries as they are full of anti oxidants and contain skin nourishing properties.

You will need:
- 6 raspberries
- 2-3 drops of coconut oil
Method:
Apply to your lips and with your finger tips or a lip brush.
Store in the fridge, and toss after 2-3 days.
I think lip stains are perfect for those "no-makeup look days" as they give a natural flushed glow to the both the cheeks and lips, so I enjoy sporting a stain while I'm running errands or meeting up with my girlfriends for a casual lunch date.
With this basic recipe, you can also create different variations to customize your lip stain to your liking. Here are a few of my favourite ways to add a little twist:

- For a deeper stain, add blackberries or blueberries
- Also apply to cheeks for a soft flushed look.

This is a great idea. You should type of all of your how to-s and images and create some type of booklet. I'm sure it would be a great sell in your store. You could make it cheap on shutterfly and sell it at whatever price you choose. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea Tanya! Thanks so much for the feedback. I will certainly look into it :)

I love using lip stains as well, they're perfect for those days where you want something on your lips but lipstick is a little too much. This recipe sounds really good, but it also sounds delicious!

Hi dear Keisha! What an interesting recipe for lips! Lastly I'm using a lot the lip perfector by Clarins. I think it contains also some nourishing oils =)
